After studying some of the South American tribes that live in the Amazon Rain forest or surrounding areas scientist were startled by the amazing health benefits of acai berry. This fruit which is only found in Central and South America consist of mostly seed with only between 10 to 20 percent being acai pulp which must be processed immediately to keep from spoiling. Acai is full of good benefits for all of us.

Among some of the nutrients that the acai offers are fiber, iron, calcium and the all important essential fatty acids known as Omega-3 and Omega-6 which our human bodies do not produce on their own. The berry also has many other important vitamins and minerals that help our cardiovascular system function better and helps keep inflammations down.

A number of medical research reports state that because of the high levels of antioxidants present in the acai berry it aids in combating early aging and blood circulation. Of course taking antioxidants have been encouraged for our health for years. This fruit far surpasses any other source of natural antioxidants including red wine and even the blueberry.

The acai fruit is a great source of additional fiber intake for those needing a bit more fiber in their diet. It actually encourages the digestive system to work more effectively and at the same time gives a boost to the metabolism for added weight loss as the fat is burned off faster.

The health benefits of acai berry make it the most healthiest fruit known to man at this time. There may be healthier fruit out there but we have not isolated it as of yet. Let me encourage you if you have not tried the acai berry to pick up a free trial offer. You will not be disappointed by the benefits you receive from it.

5 Benefits to Exercise

What comes to mind when you think of the benefits of exercising?

Most likely your answer is “getting skinny” or “bulking up” and that’s a fairly common response among people who exercise on a regular basis or who would like to exercise on a regular basis. However, what about all of the other benefits to regular exercise? Although there are many benefits to working out I believe the 5 biggest benefits to exercising are:

· Burn Calories – I figured that I would start with the obvious choice. This is probably the most important benefit in the group because, simply put, the more calories that you burn, the healthier you will be. As I stated before, people often associate exercising with “getting skinny” or “bulking up but exercise is far more important than your physical appearance. Your physical appearance is secondary to important benefits such as strengthening your heart/lungs and reducing health risks.

· Sleep Better – Sleeping better is one of the short term benefits of working out. Studies have shown that increased energy output has been linked to falling asleep on your own clock versus tossing and turning all night in bed. Studies also have shown that people who have late afternoon and evening workouts usually sleep better than the people who have early morning workouts.

· Improve Mood – Exercising on a regular basis can have a domino effect. Regular exercise has been linked to feelings such as happiness and decreasing stress. However, it doesn’t stop there because if you start to experience these feelings often you’re going to want to keep it going with regular exercise, right? Further, you will look better from all of the results you obtained from a consistent workout regimen which will then increase your attitude and confidence.

· Improve Your Attitude – This is a no brainer because people who don’t exercise on a regular basis usually have a hard time with motivation and lack confidence. Conversely, the more fit we are, the more confidence we have. Attitude & Confidence is extremely important when approaching different challenges in life. It takes confidence just to commit to exercising in the first place so if you can make that commitment, then you are already one step ahead of the competition.

· Reduce Risks of Chronic Diseases – This is an important benefit that is often overlooked until it’s too late. Consistent exercise helps prevent diseases such as osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes (to name a few). Many times people will start exercising after their physician advises them to do so. However, why would you wait until you get one of these illnesses to start? Don’t wait – start today!

If you are already exercising on a regular basis, then that’s great because you are experiencing more benefits than you may already realize. However, if you are not exercising on a regular basis, then I hope that these 5 benefits convinced you to start exercising today – Have fun!

Acai extracts or supplements will benefit your physical structure in a number of ways. Vitamins, minerals, and Antioxidants are packed into these little berries. Vitamins and minerals are essential constituents of the universal health of the human body and as such, are often recommended.

Antioxidants serve to slow the physical process of aging and even repair damage to some of the cells are currently within our physical structures. The chief nutrients of the Acai berry are situated in the fleshy region of the fruit, also named the pulp. The bulk of the berry is filled with seeds, so the nutritional material must be distilled using assorted operations, and then added to supplements for intake. If the procedure for extraction is done using a broad amount of the seed component, the resulting extract can be much less effective. Nevertheless, if the extracted constituent is intensified, it can also result in a more potent supplement than even fresh Acai. It is extremely dependant upon the entity that makes the products, and their methods for extraction.

Unfortunately, Acai spoils very quickly and must generally be consumed or processed within 24 hrs of being picked. This is why it isn’t achievable to enjoy fresh Acai if you do not live in the Amazon or are able to journey to the Amazon. Thankfully, the extraction processes have been refined so that irrespective of where you live in the world, you can still enjoy the benefits of the Acai fruit in supplements and other products.

The Many Benefits of Exercise

It seems like everyday there is a new article or study that is published that shares with us another benefit of exercise. The aim of this article is to summarize some of the more important benefits of exercise and why you should start an exercise program as soon as possible.

Probably the most popular reason people exercise is to lose weight or maintain the body shape they currently have. A major benefit of exercise is that it increases the body’s metabolic rate. Not only does your body become more efficient at burning calories during exercise, but the body also adapts to have a higher metabolic rate at rest, increasing the amount of calories that are consumed even when we are sitting around and watching the television. Remember, the simple weight formula is that our weight balance is equal to the calories we take in minus the calories that are burned. The more exercise we do, the greater the chance of losing more weight.

Another benefit of exercise is the profound effect that it has on the mind. Exercise not only increases blood flow to the brain, increasing alertness and memory capabilities, but it also causes the relief of endorphins and the neurotransmitter, serotonin. There is evidence to show that exercise can decrease one’s stress levels, reverse or decrease depression and anxiety, improve sleep, and produce a general improvement in overall mood. There have now been studies released to show that elderly patients who suffer from Dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease may substantially benefit from an exercise program by slowing the progression of brain degradation.

Exercise is fantastic at preventing disease processes from taking hold of the body. There is a growing pile of evidence that exercise can decrease the probability of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis, and even gum disease. It is beyond the scope of this article to explain the physiological reasons for these effects, but it is important to note that 80% of people will die from either cancer or heart disease. Regular exercise can greatly reduce the chances that we will succumb to one of these diseases, or at the very least, prevent these disease states from occurring earlier in life. Exercise can also help to boost the immune function of the body.

If one has been afflicted by a disease there is good chance that some regular exercise may be able to slow, stop, or even reverse the progression of the disease. Exercise has been shown to reduce blood pressure, triglycerides, cholesterol, and the tendency for blood to clot in the blood vessels. All of these features are extremely helpful in slowing or reversing heart disease and the chances of a stroke. If afflicted with osteoporosis, exercise can work to strengthen the bones and increase bone density.

Some of the other benefits of exercise are:

  • Increase the efficiency of the digestive system which is thought to reduce the incidence of colon cancer
  • About a 50% in the risk of a women developing endometriosis
  • Increase balance and coordination
  • Increased lung capacity
  • Everybody has different a different motivation when beginning an exercise program or finding motivation to continue one. This list should give you more than enough reasons to get started.

Benefits to Exercise – How Exercise Can Enhance your Way of Living

Most of us know the healthy benefits to exercise, and how it can improve many aspects of our life. Anyone can tell you to get moving because it’s good for you; and you’d believe it and take it as gospel truth because it is the truth. But what exactly are these benefits to exercise, and why should you really give it the time of day?

Benefit to Exercise # 1: Body

A very compelling reason for you to haul yourself up from your sedentary existence is that, with being overweight or obese, comes greater risk for a host of other health problems like heart disease and diabetes.

Here’s the unpleasant news for the fat-bellied ones – recent studies have also uncovered an undeniable link between your growing waistline and the threat of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, or NHL, a potentially fatal form of cancer that takes root in the immune system.

Translation: beer belly — bad. If that doesn’t motivate you to get moving religiously every morning, I don’t know what will. Maintaining an active lifestyle boosts the immune system, thus helping to keep harmful diseases at bay.

Benefit to Exercise # 2: Mind

Not only will your body reap the benefits to exercise, but your mind will be thankful for it as well. Studies have revealed that exercise can enhance your brainpower. It enhances memory and learning, heightens alertness, helps us think more clearly, and improves specific cognitive functioning in seniors.

One valid explanation for the latter could be that after an aerobic workout, the heart is able to pump more efficiently and the blood is able to carry more oxygen, which the heart then sends through certain areas of the brain in a rush.

Benefit to Exercise # 3: Soul

Tests consistently show that hearty doses of physical activity help improve mood and likewise relieve depression and anxiety. Experts have found that exercise triggers the release of certain chemicals in the brain, like dopamine, norepinephrine, and endorphins, all of which are our natural, built-in antidepressants. This explains why we tend to get a high out of working out and we feel good about ourselves after each grueling training session.

Benefit to Exercise # 4: Social Support

And let’s not forget, exercising is also a great way to make new friends, as well as an opportunity to bond with old ones. The social support you get from engaging in group training or even a sport is good for your emotional well-being and can add significantly to your sense of accomplishment and happiness. There’s nothing like some healthy competition to get you in the groove.

Whether it is dancing, cycling, walking, mountain climbing, or even something as simple as breathing, exercise can and should be incorporated into your daily life. If you can make time for TV, you can make time for exercise. Coupled with the proper diet and nutrition, there’s really no reason why you shouldn’t realize these benefits to exercise and live a longer and healthier life.
